Our Directors provide strong guidance and bring a wealth of experience to the Company. They have extensive knowledge of the financial markets, and are skilled in dealing with the issues we confront.
Mr Peter Dunai
Chairman
Peter Dunai is a founding shareholder in IRESS Market Technology and joined the Board in 1993. He served as Managing Director until October 2009, then served as a Non-executive Director until being appointed Chairman of the Board in May 2010.
Peter has worked in the securities industry since 1984, and his experience spans a wide range of areas including sharebroker systems (front and back office), risk management, derivatives systems, derivatives trading, portfolio systems and financial modeling.
Mr Andrew Walsh
Executive Director
Andrew took the role of Managing Director in October 2009, after seven years as General Manager of the IRESS Wealth Management division, overseeing the growth and direction of IRESS' wealth management business.
Mr James (Tony) Killen
Non-Executive Director, Chairman of the Audit Committee
Tony Killen joined the Board in 2000 and is Chairman of Sisters of Charity Health Service Limited, Sisters of Charity Healthcare Australia Limited and Equity Trustees Limited; and a Director of Catholic Church Insurances Limited and Templeton Global Growth Fund Limited.
Ms Jenny Seabrook
Lead Independent Director
Jenny Seabrook joined the Board in August 2008 as Non-executive Director, and assumed the role of Lead Independent Director in May 2010.
Jenny has practised as an investment banker, capital markets adviser and chartered accountant for over 25 years. She is Director of Westralian Newspaper Holdings Limited, BWA Management Limited, Iluka Resources Limited, St Andrew's Superannuation Services Pty Limited and M. G. Kallis Holdings Pty Limited. She is also a member of the Federal Government's Takeovers Panel and the Markets Policy Group for the Financial Services Institute of Australia.
Mr Bill Burdett
Non-Executive Director
Bill Burdett joined the Board in 2006 and has a wealth of experience in all facets of the securities industry. Bill was founding Chairman and Chief Executive of BBY in Australia. He also has significant experience in institutional broking in North America, including through his current non-executive directorship of ITG, a NYSE listed institutional broking company.
Mr John Cameron
Non-Executive Director
John Cameron joined the Board in March 2010. John has in excess of 20 years experience in developing financial software and consulting, particularly in the area of electronic trading and FIX based connectivity.
John was a member of the team that wrote SEATS, the original automated trading system used by ASX Limited, which went live in 1987. After this, he designed and developed electronic trading and market information systems for major financial institutions throughout the UK, France, USA, and Australia. In 1997 John established Cameron Systems, which went on to become a leading global FIX engine solution. Cameron Systems was acquired by Orc Software in 2006. John left Orc in 2009 to form Cameron Edge.
