IRESS’ wealth and advice platform XPLAN has increased its functionality lead over competitors according to a new report from independent research house Investment Trends. The 2012 Financial Planning Software Report by Investment Trends is an in-depth analysis of the eight fully featured planning applications most frequently used by Australian financial advisers.
IRESS’ continued investment into its technology and service is reflected in this result. Since the release of XPLAN 2.0, IRESS has strategically positioned XPLAN with an exceptionally strong development agenda to meet global wealth management opportunities. Specific focus on client engagement, scaled advice, mobile and tablet technology, and the requirements under FoFA has made the functional gap between XPLAN and other planning solutions the widest it has ever been according to the report.
Andrew Walsh, IRESS Managing Director, said, "The simultaneous demands of FoFA in Australia and RDR in the UK have been an obvious opportunity for IRESS to leverage its intensive development effort. With over five significant releases in 2012, XPLAN development surpassed the development of all other planning applications in Australia. This independent report confirms IRESS’ functional positioning for FoFA to be the most extensive in Australia.
"We have put a lot of development effort into ensuring our clients globally are well positioned for the demands of regulatory, commercial and technological change. IRESS’ commitment and ongoing investment in wealth management technology is critical to ensure XPLAN remains ahead and continues to provide integrated solutions to support the growth strategy of our clients."
Mr Walsh also said, "Technology responses to post-crisis themes such as simplicity, efficiency and flexibility continue to feature heavily in our roadmap for 2013. Also of note is XPLANtouch, XPLAN’s tablet app available on iOS, Android, and Windows8. We have teams dedicated to mobile development as relevance to advisers and their clients continues to increase. Every adviser wants an app to offer to clients in order to augment engagement and brand presence."
